Before I "went to sleep" and quit sending "Invitations to Debate" to Al Gore (copy below), I remember hearing my favorite senator, Jim Inhofe, OK, saying that he thought "Cap and Trade (Tax)" was dead. I could only hope. Since then, we have had a galactic surge to the left in our country. By that, I mean socialism or worse! Healthcare (government run Medikill) has lifted its ugly head. At this time, it is in the washing machine and who knows what will come out in the laundry. Ironing it out is very close, but I digress.
When I awoke, I discovered that "Obama's green guru calls for white roofs". Professor Steven Chu, the US Energy Secretary, said the unusual proposal would mean homes in hot countries would save energy and money on air conditioning by deflecting the sun's rays.
More pale surfaces could also slow global warming by reflecting heat into space rather than allowing it to be absorbed by dark surfaces where it is trapped by greenhouse gases and increases temperatures. So heat is no longer captured by the atomosphere? Huh! He said he "was in favour of white roofs everywhere". I know Obama allows communists and socialists in his administration, but I didn't think he had invited the insane. I guess when a region has a cold snap or season as all do, we just bring out the black tarps. I guess we could just keep repainting; black, white, black, white, blah, blah, blah! Liberals are always telling us to think about the children. Okay. Every Christmas, Santa Claus will be getting lost! Too much white! Everything will look like a snow mass! Oops, they're melting. Not!

In it, a leading scientist argues that overbroad claims by some researchers- coupled with overblown reporting in the media- can undermine the public's understanding of climate issues. He is absolutely right! It's called the "jump the gun syndrome"! The entire so called "Global Warming" phenomenon is overblown! There is a reason though, a sinister one. It's not about "warming", anyway. It's about power, just like "Obamacare".
It has not been put in any better way than the following treatise by Gary North. "It's Not Just That Global Warming Is Fake. What Matters Is Why This Fakery Is Being Promoted." I must quote some of the article here because it is so important:
Global warming is based 100% on junk science. The most vocal promoters are not interested in the details of physical science. They are interested in two things: political control over the general public and the establishment of international socialism.
Over 31,000 scientists have put their reputations on the line and signed a politically incorrect petition opposing the 1997 Kyoto agreement or protocol.
The former president of the National Academy of Sciences asked them to sign the petition.
Back in the 1970's the bugaboo was the coming ice age, as Time Magazine promoted. Not to be outdone, Newsweek got on board. The article warned: "Climatologists are pessimistic that political leaders will take any positive action to compensate for the climactic change, or even allay its effects."
It, too, was based on junk science. It, too, had the same solution: government control over the economy. The goal never changes: government management over the economy. The justification has changed. If the voters won't accept control over their lives of one brand of junk science, maybe they will accept another. As they used to say in the Nixon Administration: "Let's run this up the flagpole and see if anyone salutes."
The global warming movement is not about global warming. It is about the creation of an international political control arrangement by which bureaucrats who favor socialism can gain control over the international economy.
If you like poverty, inefficiency, and bureaucratic controls over the economy, and therefore control over your choices, the "climate change" movement is ideal.
If you want to subsidize China and India, neither of which will enforce the rules laid down by the unelected international bureaucrats, this movement is for you.
If you want to pay more for less energy, there is no better way than to pass the "cap and tax" bill which the House has passed. It will be sent to the Senate next week.

In the past week, a hidden Obama Administration document surfaced. Their own Treasury Department estimated it would cost the average family an additional $1,700.00 per year with "Cap and Tax". Just today, Senator Kerry decided he wanted to call it "Pollution Control". The only pollution we need to control is coming out of the liberals (most of the Democrat Party).
I alluded to "Medikill" earlier in this posting. It truly is not about the subject of any Obama or Congressional (liberal) effort. It is about power. Nothing can be passed that comes from them. On healthcare reform, it needs to be: cross state competition of insurance companies and perhaps some subsidies for low incomers (only)! Nothing else! Open the door on anything else one inch and you will see it opening, maybe slowly, but opening wider toward government control. The same is true for "Cap and Tax"! Conservation is fine. We at "thehoax" are all for it. We're for local smog control. The rest is "the real Hoax"! If you like the government running the mortagage industry, the banking industry, the automobile industry, the student loan program and continuing to acquire more and more pieces of the US economy including "Medikill" and your private lives , you'll love "Cap and Tax".
As you know, we at "thehoax" have sent many invitations to the Hon. Al Gore to debate. It ain't gonna happen. Our plan is to put as much in the media as we can to show our attempts. They have been honorable and under almost any circumstances he might want. Help us to promote this effort. It's heating up as you read this. Senator Jim Inhofe needs all the public support he can get. Call your senators and represtatives! Tell them nothing doing on "Cap and Tax", period!
We need to full page this in the New York Times and the Washington Post. As much as I deplore these "rags", they are still pillars of the left and much of the center:
